CHORDZOID

Terms of Service

Last updated: 4 September 2026

Using CHORDZOID means accepting these terms. There is no account and nothing to pay, so they are short.

What you are being given

Permission to use CHORDZOID for your own purposes, including learning, teaching and paid work, free of charge. We may change the chord library, alter the Learn course, or take the site down, at any time and without notice.

Provided as is

CHORDZOID is provided without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or availability. We check the chord data carefully and against an independent library, and we still make no promise that it is free of errors.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, this site, including anything that follows from playing a chord as we have printed it. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you paid to use the site, which is nothing.

Your progress

Learn progress lives in your browser and is yours. We cannot see it, cannot back it up and cannot restore it. Treat it as something you could lose by clearing your browsing data, because you can.

Acceptable use

Do not try to disrupt the site or the people using it, do not scrape it with automated tools, and do not republish the chord pages as your own. You may link to any page here freely, and we would rather you did that than copy it.

Intellectual property

The name CHORDZOID, the design, the text and the code are ours. Music theory is not. Nobody owns the fact that a minor chord has a flattened third, and anything you learn here is yours to use.

Advertising

The site carries, or may carry, advertising served by third parties. We do not choose individual advertisements and they are not endorsements.

Governing terms

If part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still stands. Questions go to [email protected].
